Education Counsellor

Job Summary

Arbor Academy is seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Educational Counsellor who will guide students in selecting the right skill-based and career-oriented programs. The role involves supporting students throughout their learning journey, aligning their interests and abilities with industry-relevant courses, certifications, and career pathways offered by Arbor Academy.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate students’ educational background, skills, interests, and career objectives.
• Provide personalized counselling on Arbor Academy’s courses, certifications, internships, and career pathways.
• Clearly explain course curriculum, learning outcomes, certifications, tools, and job roles.
• Assist students in creating structured learning and career plans.
• Support students from enrollment through course completion to ensure engagement and progress.
• Coordinate with trainers, placement, and academic teams to track student performance.
• Maintain accurate counselling records, feedback, and progress reports.
• Conduct orientation programs, career guidance sessions, and academic counselling workshops.
• Address student concerns and provide timely academic guidance and support.

Required Skills

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills.
• Strong mentoring and student-handling abilities.
• Basic understanding of IT courses, certifications, and career paths (Data, Development, Cloud, etc.).
• Problem-solving attitude with a student-first approach.
• Good documentation, reporting, and follow-up skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate / Post Graduate (Education, Psychology, Management, or related fields preferred).
• Freshers with strong communication skills and interest in education counselling are welcome.
• Experience in EdTech, training institutes, or career guidance will be an advantage.
