Electrical Design Engineer

Role Overview:

Designs electrical systems for solar PV plants, including DC/AC side engineering, layouts, and performance estimation for rooftop and ground-mounted projects.

KeyResponsibilities:

Perform solar resource assessment, energy yield prediction (using PVsyst), shading analysis, and plant layout optimization.Design complete DC and AC electrical systems: string sizing, inverter selection, cable sizing, earthing, lightning protection, and switchgear.Prepare single-line diagrams (SLD), layouts, schematics, and technical specifications.Ensure compliance with CEA, MNRE, DISCOM, and IEC standards for grid-connected solar projects.Support tendering, proposals, and coordination with procurement/construction teams.Conduct site visits for verification and resolve design-related issues.

Qualifications & Experience:

B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.2–5 years in solar PV electrical design, preferably rooftop/ground-mount EPC projects.Expertise in PVsyst, AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP/Helioscope, and MS Excel for calculations.
