Job Title: HVAC Technician – Metro Station & Depot Maintenance

Job Summary - The HVAC Technician is responsible for operation, inspection, and maintenance of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems at metro stations and depot facilities. The role ensures proper temperature control, ventilation, and air quality in station premises, technical rooms, and depot buildings through preventive and corrective maintenance.

• Key Responsibilities1. HVAC System MaintenancePerform preventive and corrective maintenance of Air Handling Units (AHU), Fan Coil Units (FCU), and ventilation fans.
• Maintain chillers, VRV/VRF systems, package units, and split air conditioning systems.
• Inspect and service cooling towers, pumps, and compressors where installed.
• 2. Ventilation System MaintenanceMaintain station ventilation systems, exhaust fans, and fresh air supply systems.
• Ensure proper ventilation in electrical rooms, UPS rooms, battery rooms, and technical areas.
• 3. Preventive MaintenanceConduct regular inspection and servicing of HVAC equipment.
• Clean or replace air filters, belts, and coils.
• Check refrigerant gas pressure, compressor performance, and system efficiency.
• 4. Fault Diagnosis and RepairIdentify faults in compressors, thermostats, motors, and electrical control panels.
• Repair or replace defective components such as relays, capacitors, and sensors.
• Attend breakdown calls and restore HVAC operation quickly.
• 5. Monitoring & ReportingMonitor temperature, airflow, and system performance.
• Maintain daily maintenance logs and inspection reports.
• Report major faults to the supervisor for further action.
• 6. Safety & CoordinationFollow safety procedures and permit systems while working on HVAC equipment.
• Coordinate with MEP teams and station management during maintenance work.
• Required SkillsKnowledge of HVAC systems such as AHU, FCU, chillers, VRF/VRV, and ventilation systems.
• Ability to read HVAC drawings and system layouts.
• Experience in troubleshooting compressors, refrigerant systems, and electrical controls.
• Qualification - ITI in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
• 2–5 years experience in HVAC maintenance in metro stations, airports, malls, or large commercial buildings.
