DESKTOP+ NETWORK ENGINEER

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused IT Support / System Engineer who will be responsible for managing and supporting multiple domestic clients. The role involves day-to-day IT operations, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and coordinating with internal teams and vendors to ensure smooth IT services delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Client Support & Operations

• Act as the primary technical point of contact for assigned customers
• Provide remote and on-site support for servers, desktops, laptops, printers, and network issues
• Handle user support tickets, incidents, and service requests within SLA
• Perform regular health checks

Network & Infrastructure Support

• Basic configuration and troubleshooting of:
• Routers, switches, Wi-Fi access points
• Firewalls (FortiGate / Sophos / similar – basic level)
• Support LAN, WAN, VLAN, and internet connectivity issues
• Monitor network and server uptime and escalate issues when required

Server Support

• Basic administration of:
• Windows Server
• Active Directory (user creation, password reset, GPO basics)
• Support email platforms (Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace)
• Support backups, antivirus, and endpoint security

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain client-wise IT documentation (network diagram, credentials, asset list)
• Update ticket status, work logs, and service reports
• Assist in preparing monthly service reports for customers

Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with vendors, ISPs, and OEM support teams
• Clearly communicate issues, resolutions, and recommendations to clients
• Escalate complex issues to senior engineers with proper details

Required Skills

Technical Skills

• Windows OS (Desktop & Server)

• Basic networking (TCP/IP, LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, VLAN)

• Firewall (FortiGate / Palo Alto / Sophos – any one preferred)

• Email systems (O365 / G Suite)



• Basic hardware troubleshooting

Soft Skills

• Good communication and customer-handling skills
• Ability to manage multiple clients and priorities
• Willingness to visit client locations when required
• Strong problem-solving attitude

Preferred Qualifications

• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
• Experience in IT services / MSP environment

Work Environment

• Mix of office, remote support, and client-site visits
• May require support during non-business hours for critical issues
