MEP - Electrical Supervisor

Job Title: MEP Supervisor – Metro Station & Depot Maintenance

Job Summary -The MEP Supervisor is responsible for supervising and maintaining all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems at metro stations and depot facilities. The role ensures smooth operation of electrical infrastructure, HVAC systems, fire protection systems, water supply, and drainage systems through preventive and corrective maintenance while maintaining safety and operational standards.

• Key Responsibilities1. Electrical System MaintenanceSupervise preventive and corrective maintenance of LT panels, MCC panels, DBs, UPS, transformers, DG sets, and lighting systems.
• Monitor cable health, insulation resistance testing, and thermography of panels.
• Ensure proper functioning of station lighting, platform lighting, emergency lighting, and signage lighting.
• Check earthing system and earth resistance periodically.
• Coordinate shutdowns and maintenance activities with station control room.
• 2. Mechanical System MaintenanceSupervise maintenance of HVAC systems, ventilation fans, exhaust fans, and tunnel ventilation systems.
• Monitor performance of pumps, motors, and water supply systems.
• Ensure proper operation of escalators and elevators (coordination with OEM teams).
• 3. Fire & Safety SystemsMaintain and inspect fire alarm systems, fire hydrant systems, sprinkler systems, and fire pumps.
• Conduct periodic fire drills and safety inspections.
• Ensure all firefighting equipment is functional and compliant with safety standards.
• 4. Plumbing & Water SystemsMaintain water supply lines, drainage systems, sump pumps, and sewage systems.
• Monitor water tanks, pipelines, and valves for leakage or faults.
• 5. Preventive Maintenance PlanningImplement daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance schedules.
• Maintain maintenance logs and inspection records.
• Ensure quick response to breakdown calls and system faults.
• 6. Team SupervisionSupervise technicians and maintenance staff working at metro stations and depots.
• Assign work tasks and monitor work completion.
• Ensure safety procedures and permit systems are followed.
• 7. Coordination & ReportingCoordinate with OCC (Operations Control Center), station controllers, and maintenance teams.
• Prepare daily maintenance reports and fault reports.
• Maintain spare inventory and coordinate with vendors for repairs.
• Required SkillsKnowledge of Electrical panels, transformers, UPS, DG systems.
• Understanding of HVAC, pumps, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Ability to read single line diagrams (SLD) and electrical drawings.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures.
• Familiarity with safety standards and permit systems.
• Qualification-Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3–7 years experience in MEP maintenance, preferably in metro, airport, railway stations, or large commercial facilities.
