Proposal Engineer

Industry: Sugar, Boiler, Distillery, or Related Fields

Key Responsibilities:1.     Process Equipment Sizing & Layout Design:

• Perform equipment sizing and design as per project requirements.
• Prepare and review Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) and layouts for submission along with proposals.

2.     Techno-Commercial

Proposals:

• Develop and prepare detailed techno-commercial proposals, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry standards.
• Submit proposals to clients and ensure timely follow-up for approvals and negotiations.

1. Process Calculations:

• Conduct mass balance and energy balance calculations for various processes.
• Perform evaporation plant calculations for efficiency optimization.

1. Plant Design Expertise:

• Design and draft proposals for distillery plants, including fermentation, distillation, and MSDH processes.
• Prepare detailed designs for specific plant operations and ensure alignment with project goals.

5.     Tendering

& Quotation Preparation:

• Participate in the tendering process, including review of tender documents, bid preparation, and submission.
• Prepare accurate and competitive quotations for equipment and materials as per client specifications.

6.     Client

Interaction & Lead Generation:

• Generate leads through cold calling and networking, ensuring a robust pipeline of inquiries.
• Handle client inquiries, provide technical clarifications, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to understand requirements and enhance customer satisfaction.

7.     Coordination

& Project Support:

• Collaborate with the project team during execution to ensure adherence to proposals and client requirements.
• Monitor inquiry and offer status periodically, ensuring all deadlines and commitments are met.

8.     Technical

Documentation & Communication:

• Draft and present technical documents, including layouts and PFDs, for client submissions.
• Maintain detailed records of proposal activities and ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies
• Prepare project progress reports and maintain organized records of inquiries and proposals.
• Required Skills:Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for layout preparation and documentation.
• Strong analytical skills for process equipment sizing and proposal preparation.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for client interactions.
• Knowledge of the tendering process, especially for distillery, boiler, and sugar plant projects.
• Time management and organizational skills to handle multiple proposals simultaneously.
• Preferred Experience:Prior experience in handling techno-commercial proposals and tenders for Boiler, Sugar Plant, or Distillery
• projects.
• Hands-on experience in preparing PFDs, layouts, and detailed quotations.
• Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Petrochemical, Chemical, or related field).
• 3+ years of relevant experience in proposal engineering for industrial projects.
