๐Ÿ“ Job Description:

As a Career Counsellor at the upGrad Offline Learning Center, you will serve as the first point of contact for prospective students. Your role is to understand their career aspirations and help them make informed decisions by suggesting the right upGrad programs.


๐ŸŽฏ Key Responsibilities:

  • ๐ŸŽ“ Career Counselling:Conduct structured 1-on-1 counseling sessions to understand students' educational background, aspirations, and career goals.
  • Use psychometric tools (if applicable) to identify career fit.
  • Explain available programs based on the learner's profile and aspirations.
  • Guide students on how upGrad programs can enhance their careers.


๐Ÿ“ˆ Sales & Target Achievement:

Convert walk-in and telephonic inquiries into successful enrollments.

  • Follow-up on leads from various sources (walk-ins, digital leads, references).
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline of prospects to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Pitch program features, pedagogy, curriculum, career services, and student success stories.


๐Ÿค Student Relationship Management:

Provide prompt and accurate responses to queries.


  • Ensure students feel valued and supported throughout their decision-making process.
  • Maintain a database of all interactions and outcomes in the CRM.


๐Ÿ“Š Reporting & Coordination:

Provide daily/weekly reporting on calls, counseling, walk-ins, and conversions.

  • Coordinate with Academic Teams, Operations, and Admission Support Teams.
  • Maintain documentation related to admissions and student records.


๐Ÿ“ข Events and Outreach:

Participate in promotional events, seminars, education fairs, webinars, and workshops.

  • Support the marketing team in executing offline campaigns to drive footfall.


โœ… Desired Candidate Profile:

Bachelorโ€™s Degree

  • 0 to 3 years of relevant experience in counseling or academic sales.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills (English, Hindi, Marathi preferred).
  • Strong persuasion and problem-solving skills.
  • Goal-oriented and self-motivated with a positive attitude.
  • Familiarity with education technology or ed-tech platforms is an advantage.
  • Must be comfortable working under target pressure.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and report generation is a plus.
