Accountant/ Accounts Executive

Accountant – Roles and Responsibilities

1. Maintain complete and accurate books of accounts of the company on a daily basis.

2. Record all financial transactions including sales invoices, purchase bills, debit notes, credit notes and journal entries in the accounting system.

3. Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable and regularly monitor outstanding payments.

4. Follow up with customers for pending payments and update management regarding overdue amounts.

5. Prepare and file GST returns, TDS returns and other statutory filings within prescribed timelines.

6. Maintain cash book, bank book and general ledger and perform regular bank reconciliation.

7. Maintain proper documentation and filing of invoices, vouchers, challans, purchase orders and other financial records.

8. Prepare monthly financial reports including profit and loss statement, expense reports and cash flow statements for management review.

9. Maintain records of employee salary payments, reimbursements and statutory deductions if assigned.

10. Coordinate with chartered accountants, auditors, banks and government departments when required.

11. Maintain project-wise accounts and monitor expenses related to ongoing projects.

12. Ensure compliance with company financial policies and statutory regulations.

13. Provide financial information and reports to management whenever required.

14. Ensure all accounting records are updated, accurate and available for audit and internal review.
