Job Description

The Reports, Automation, & Dashboard Sr Consultant I will be responsible for the accurate, consistent, and timely data engineering of visual Claims reporting and results. The analyst will ensure data integrity by implementing systematic improvements that automate, streamline, and modernize the reporting, data visualization, and business intelligence processes to facilitate the communication of one version of the truth across the enterprise

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of data and information delivery solutions in response to business reporting requests and issues.
  • Extract, Transform and Load data pulling from a variety of data tables/sources including but not limited to MSSQL, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), stored procedures, Oracle, Dremio, Python and C#
  • Independently design SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) package to build medium to high complexity Claims reports
  • Partner with team members, and business partners, to ensure complete post-implementation validation and user acceptance testing
  • Lead and/or collaborate with cross-functional teams to set up recurring reports and dashboards, and support end-users throughout the reporting product lifecycle
  • Inspire trust and confidence throughout the organization by leveraging strategic and diplomatic relationship building skills
  • Maintain adherence to Information Security Standards for employees and leaders
  • Investigate, track, prioritize, and communicate data and reporting related issues.
  • Cross-train junior consultants

Preferred Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 years equivalent experience
  • 4 years of hands-on reporting and data engineering
  • Experience with data visualization and translating business requirements to technical/data requirements
  • Agile/Scrum experience preferred

Functional Skills

  • Intermediate to advanced ability to build reports and/or technical tools, using a variety of data reporting and visualization software
  • Intermediate to advanced technical knowledge with data management processes (i.e.; data flow within systems, data mapping, meta data, etc.) and/or experience with integrating data from multiple sources, including relational databases, unstructured data, and/or other enterprise data stores
  • Intermediate to Advanced SQL Coding/Tableau knowledge Required
  • Advanced proficiency in querying, compiling, analyzing, and integrating information from different sources to make data informative (ETL – Extract, Transform and Load/Building SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) package required
  • Comprehensive knowledge of data reporting and business knowledge (financial skills, follow the numbers)
  • Demonstrated ability to work with numbers and develop medium to high complexity formula
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to work effectively in a virtual team environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
