Position Title:  Application Expert QMS

Reports To:      Digital Lead Factory Supply Chain

Role Type:        Individual Contributor

Location:         Pune

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the operational management and support of QMPS and related applications, ensuring world-class service delivery for SKF’s global user community.
  • Collaborate with Process Management Teams to define, and translate business requirements into robust application and process functionality by thoroughly analyzing, designing it to a sustainable IT solution addressing organizational needs.
  • Design, construct, and test end-to-end solutions within developed applications or for application maintenance, including Unit and SIT testing.
  • Conduct role unit testing to validate secure and accurate role assignments for developed functions.
  • Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), supporting end users’ understanding of test results and ensuring successful implementations both within templates and deployments.
  • Deliver advanced end user support, managing process-related queries and resolving issues across multiple process flows.
  • Facilitate and conduct trainings and enhance relationships between the support team and super users/end users, ensuring effective communication and continuous improvement.

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, IT Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-6 years of hands-on experience in Quintiq and Quill programming, with strong functional and technical knowledge in master production scheduling (MPS), detail scheduling, and logistics planning.
  • Level 1 certified SWE/IPC (mandatory).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Dassault Industry solutions such as Company Planner and Demand Planner.
  • Strong understanding of core software components and behaviors on both server and client sides, including Quintiq transactions, EDI, and dataset communications.
  • Experience with dataset modeling, backup, and license/model installation and renewal is a plus.
  • Independent troubleshooter with proven expertise using tools such as profilers and log files.
  • Advanced skills in SQL programming; experience with SAP S/4 and SAP APO is advantageous.
