Job Description

JD – Area Sales Manager - Immediate joiners to manage sales for Eastern , Western and central Maharashtra region.

 

Job Purpose:

Responsible for driving sales, managing distributor/super stockist networks, achieving targets, and ensuring effective market coverage in the assigned territory.


Key Responsibilities:

· Sales & Target Achievement

o Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets in the assigned area.

o Drive primary and secondary sales through Super Stockists and distributors.

· Distribution & Channel Management

o Appoint, manage, and support Super Stockists and distributors.

o Ensure product availability and visibility across retail counters.

o Monitor stock levels, order placement, and timely billing.

· Team Management

o Supervise and guide Sales Officers / Field Sales Executives.

o Conduct regular market visits with team members for effective coverage.

o Monitor performance, provide training, and ensure productivity.

· Market Development

o Identify and develop new business opportunities in the territory.

o Implement trade promotions, schemes, and merchandising activities.

o Collect market intelligence on competitors, pricing, and trends.

· Reporting & Analysis

o Submit daily/weekly/monthly sales reports.

o Analyse sales performance and suggest corrective actions.

o Maintain healthy ROI for Super Stockists and distributors.


Key Skills Required:

· Strong distribution & channel management skills.

· Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building ability.

· Leadership & team-handling capability.

· Market knowledge and problem-solving attitude.

· Proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets for reporting.


Qualifications & Experience:

· Graduate / MBA in Sales & Marketing preferred.

· 3–6 years of FMCG & OTC sales

· Prior experience in handling Super Stockists / Distributors is a must.
