Job Description

  • Area Sales Manager – Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Target Achievement
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned area
  • Drive business growth through agents, brokers, and direct channels
  • Team Management
  • Train, and manage a team of sales executives / advisors
  • Monitor team performance and provide regular guidance and motivation
  • Conduct field visits with team members
  • Business Development
  • Identify new business opportunities in the assigned region
  • Build relationships with corporates, hospitals, and key clients
  • Expand distribution network (agents, partners)
  • Channel Management
  • Manage and support agency partners, brokers, and bancassurance channels
  • Ensure partners are aligned with company goals and sales strategies
  • Customer Relationship Management
  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers and clients
  • Handle escalations and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Market Analysis
  • Study local market trends, competition, and customer needs
  • Suggest strategies to improve sales performance in the region
  • Training & Development
  • Conduct product and sales training for the team
  • Ensure the team is updated on new policies and regulations
  • Reporting & MIS
  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly sales reports
  • Track pipeline, closures, and team productivity
  • Compliance & Process Adherence
  • Ensure all sales activities follow company policies and IRDA guidelines
  • Maintain proper documentation and process discipline
  • In Healthcare Insurance (Specific Focus) Promote health insurance products to individuals and corporates
  • Coordinate with hospitals for corporate tie-ups
  • Support claim-related queries for key clients
