Assembly Fitter

Key Responsibilities

Assembly and Installation: Fitters assemble and install machinery and equipment according to specifications and blueprints. They ensure that all components are correctly aligned and functioning as intended. 

Maintenance and Repair: They perform regular maintenance checks, diagnose faults, and repair or replace defective parts to ensure optimal 

performance of machinery. 

Quality Control: Fitters conduct tests and quality checks on assembled machinery to ensure they meet safety and operational standards. 2

Technical Interpretation: They read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand assembly requirements. 2

Collaboration: Fitters often work in teams and may supervise junior fitters or apprentices, providing guidance and training.
