Assembly Technician

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Fitter with hands-on experience in the machinery manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling industrial machines and equipment based on technical drawings and specifications, ensuring accurate alignment, quality, and functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble machinery and mechanical equipment such as conveyors, pumps, compressors, gearboxes, and industrial systems.
• Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings, layout diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Align and fit components using tools like drills, grinders, torque wrenches, and hoists.
• Perform mechanical fitting tasks such as bolting, fastening, and adjusting machine parts.
• Conduct precision measurements using vernier calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, and other tools.
• Ensure machine assemblies meet safety, quality, and operational standards.
• Perform test runs or dry runs to ensure proper alignment and functioning before final inspection.
• Maintain documentation of assembly processes and report any design or fitment issues.
• Collaborate with the quality and engineering teams to resolve discrepancies or defects.

Skills and Qualifications:

• ITI / Diploma in Fitter Trade or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in machinery or heavy equipment assembly.
• Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings and understanding tolerances.
• Good knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems (preferred).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
