Associate Analyst

Job Description – Placement Tracker Analyst

Job Responsibilities

The responsibilities will include the following:

Content Production:

  • Support the Research Analyst team and Product Manager in maintaining a real-time and accurate database.
  • Collect and track day-to-day PIPE and Private Placement financings into the internal content management system.
  • Review, update, and add additional information based on publicly available information, including but not limited to company SEC filings and press releases.
  • Review company filings and announcements to stay updated about specific company financings.
  • Monitor incoming SEC filings and press releases for updates on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Contribute insightful analysis on specific corporate finance topics.
  • Acquire a basic understanding of and competence in internal content management systems to master database functionality and all processes related to content creation and maintenance.
  • Gain a foundational understanding of corporate finance, securities markets, and other related industries.
  • Develop basic skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF formatting to aid in special report preparation and publication.

Client Support:

  • Provide clients with timely, coherent, and accurate research support.
  • Conduct primary/secondary research, assist with database search strategies, and perform basic data analysis.
  • Apply knowledge to deliver the highest quality data and support to clients, including custom, bespoke, and ad hoc analysis.

Team Support:

  • Actively participate in team meetings.
  • Learn team roles and responsibilities and understand the overall organizational structure of the business and the Business Intelligence (BI) Financial Intelligence vertical.
  • Attend role-specific training workshops as requested.
  • Support team members during absences.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Key Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (Economics or Finance is a plus).
  • Internship experience is beneficial but not required.
  • Familiarity with corporate finance is a plus but not required.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong internet research skills.
  • Ability to use sound logic to edit, manipulate, and analyze different types of data.
  • Good organizational, time management, and priority-setting skills, with flexibility to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to think critically, work independently, and follow instructions.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work within a team both in-office and remotely.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
