Banking Sector Data Analyst

Key Roles & Responsibilities

🔹 Data Management

• Collect, clean, and validate data from banking systems (core banking, CRM, digital channels, etc.).
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and confidentiality of financial and customer data.

🔹 Reporting & MIS

• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports for different departments (operations, compliance, loans, customer service).
• Track KPIs such as loan approvals, NPA trends, deposits, and transaction volumes.
• Support compliance and audit requirements through accurate reporting.

🔹 Data Analysis

• Analyze customer behavior (savings, loans, credit cards, digital transactions) to identify trends.
• Assist in risk analysis by highlighting anomalies or unusual patterns in financial data.
• Support fraud detection and prevention teams with data-driven insights.

🔹 Business Insights

• Provide insights to improve customer experience, branch performance, and digital banking adoption.
• Help management in decision-making by presenting dashboards and visualization reports.
• Work with senior analysts to suggest data-driven strategies for revenue growth.

🔹 Collaboration

• Coordinate with operations, compliance, finance, and IT teams to understand data requirements.
• Support project teams in implementing data automation and reporting tools.

Skills & Qualifications (Fresher Friendly)

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, or related field.
• Strong skills in MS Excel & SQL (mandatory).
• Knowledge of Power BI / Tableau (added advantage).
• Basic understanding of banking products & services (savings, loans, credit cards, NPAs).
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
