Bike Mechanic

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintenance & Repair

Perform periodic maintenance as per OEM guidelines (engine oil, filters, fluids, brake pads, chain & sprocket, suspension setup).

• Conduct major repairs and overhauls of engines, clutches, gearboxes, and electrical systems.
• Handle advanced superbike systems:
• 
  
• Ride-by-wire
• Traction control
• ABS systems
• Quickshifters
• Electronic suspension (semi-active)

ECU mapping & basic tuning

2. Diagnostics

• Use OEM diagnostic tools and software to identify issues and error codes.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults.
• Perform test rides to verify repairs and detect performance issues.

3. Workshop Operations

Maintain tools, equipment, and superbike-specific service instruments.

• Ensure cleanliness, safety, and organization in the workshop.

Follow torque specifications, SOPs, and safety standards.

4. Customer Interaction

Explain technical issues to customers in simple, clear language.

• Provide repair estimates and recommend preventive maintenance.
• Maintain transparency and trust while ensuring high customer satisfaction.

5. Documentation

Maintain job cards, service records, inspection checklists, and parts usage logs.

• Record fault codes, work performed, and future recommendations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of superbike engines: inline-4, V-twin, L-twin, parallel twin, triple-cylinder.

• Expertise in fuel injection systems, ECU diagnostics, and electronic controls.
• Ability to work on premium brands (Aprilia, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Triumph, Ducati, BMW, KTM, Honda).
• Ability to perform performance tuning, suspension setup, and brake overhauls.

Soft Skills

Attention to detail and precision.

• Ability to work under pressure during busy workshop days.
• Good communication and customer-handling skills.
