Job Description

The Support Lead for the Aladdin Governance & Support Team will work with the Head of Aladdin Governance & Support in managing and developing our usage of the Aladdin Enterprise as well as client’s broader strategic relationship with BlackRock Solutions (BRS).

The successful individual must be capable of understanding both complex business and technology platforms and have a broad understanding of both the investment operations and the technology that underpins required processes. Experience and knowledge of the Aladdin platform is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

This role will be responsible for managing user requirements and the ecosystem maintenance for Client’s Order Management System, Aladdin. This will require oversight of the end-to-end relationship with the provider, working with partners, Aladdin users and other internal stakeholders to manage the strategic partnership with BlackRock and client’s user requirements, including new feature prioritization, access needs, system and partner governance and oversight.

This is a key role with broad-spanning business exposure as it involves long-term strategic business and system planning for Aladdin platform on behalf of the client across all its local business units.

1. Governing and maintaining the overall Aladdin requirements, impact analysis, permissioning and BlackRock relationship needs with key stakeholders
2. Assisting the team in being the central point of contact with BlackRock’s relationship managers and senior representatives
3. Assisting the team in working with client’s investment teams, dealing, transitions and other departments in establishing Client’ s longer term system capability requirements and priorities with BlackRock
4. Running periodic reviews of Aladdin system usage as part of the overall investment lifecycle
5. Enabling regular insights and preparing management information on Aladdin usage
6. Working with clients compliance and SecOps colleagues to ensure policies and practices adhere to regulatory requirements
7. Driving new change initiatives relating to the platform     
8. Timely management of queries from client’s investment teams

Qualifications

1. Degree in Business related disciplines with at least 2-5 years of working experience in the Financial industry, preferably in an Asset Management company
2. Knowledge and experience of order management and execution systems, preferably Aladdin
3. Ability to build strong relationships with external business parties
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
5. Excellent priority and time management skills, with the ability to manage different stakeholders across the firm
6. Excellent presentation and strong interpersonal skills
7. Experience and knowledge of data analytical tools
8. Fluency in both written and spoken English required
