Role Overview:
We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to drive growth in debt syndication by acquiring new clients, nurturing existing relationships, and coordinating with lenders and financial partners. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in banking, lending, or wealth management sales, a robust network within the financial sector, and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in debt syndication across corporate, SME, and high-net-worth segments.
- Build and maintain relationships with banks, financial institutions, NBFCs, and wealth management partners to facilitate debt placements.
- Lead end-to-end deal cycles: prospecting, needs assessment, proposal development, lender alignment, negotiations, and closure.
- Conduct market research to understand credit demand, pricing, and competitive landscape; provide actionable insights to the leadership team.
- Prepare compelling business proposals, term sheets, and presentations for clients and lenders.
- Collaborate with risk, compliance, and operations teams to ensure timely and compliant deal execution.
- Maintain a robust pipeline, forecast accurately, and achieve or exceed quarterly and annual targets.
- Represent Evendigits at industry events, webinars, and conferences to expand the company’s network and brand presence.
- Provide post-deal support to clients, ensuring smooth disbursement and ongoing relationship management.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in banking, wealth management, financial services sales, or debt-related roles (e.g., loan syndication, credit advisory, or structured finance).
- Proven track record of new business development and achieving sales targets.
- Strong understanding of debt markets, credit analysis, and lending processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain a professional network within banking and financial services.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working in a target-driven environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office; familiarity with financial modeling is a plus.
Desired Skills:
- Network within banks, NBFCs, wealth managers, and corporate finance advisors.
- Understanding of structured finance, covenants, collateral, and risk mitigation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Time management and organizational skills to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
