Job Description
- 1. Machine Operation SkillsOperating VMC machines for precision machining
- Loading and unloading raw materials and finished components
- Setting work offsets and tool offsets
- Running production as per approved CNC program
- 2. Drawing & Measurement SkillsReading and understanding engineering drawings
- Knowledge of GD&T basics
- Using measuring instruments like:
- Vernier Caliper
- Micrometer
- Height Gauge
- Dial Gauge
- Bore Gauge
- 3. Tool Handling SkillsTool selection as per material and job requirement
- Tool setting and tool offset adjustment
- Basic knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, drills, and end mills
- 4. Machine Setup SkillsJob setting and fixture clamping
- Setting workpiece alignment
- Checking first piece inspection
- 5. CNC Program UnderstandingBasic knowledge of G-code and M-code
- Running and editing simple programs if required
- 6. Quality ControlPerforming in-process inspection
- Maintaining tolerance as per drawing
- Reporting quality issues to supervisor
- 7. Machine MaintenanceBasic machine cleaning and lubrication
- Monitoring coolant level
- Reporting machine faults or abnormalities
- 8. Safety & ProductionFollowing machine safety procedures
- Maintaining production targets
- Proper handling of tools and materials
