This person will have the opportunity to increase their skills and knowledge by interacting with industry experts within the organization, helping to form a consistent and comprehensive view of the Commodities and sectors like Gas, Power, Renewables, Fuel, Oil, Chemicals, Agriculture commodities and fertilizers, and the Maritime & Trade industries.

Responsibilities:

• • Analyze oil/gas prices, reserves, and energy commodity trends via secondary research and as per project requirements. Gather and clean data from various sources, ensuring accuracy by handling missing values, duplicates, and inconsistencies.
  • Perform statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and correlations using tools like Excel with VBA for automation.
  • Develop interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI or Spotfire to communicate insights to stakeholders effectively.
  • Write SQL queries to extract data and collaborate with teams to define KPIs and optimize processes.
  • Automate repetitive tasks with Excel VBA macros and monitor data quality for ongoing improvements.
  • Help maintain, and enhance proprietary analytical models and databases currently marketed to clients such as supply/demand, inventory models, etc.
  • Possess and demonstrate clear communications skills and creativity to determine and develop deliverables that best serves client needs and budget.

What We’re Looking For:

• • High degree of data management
  • Proficiency in Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VBA scripting) for data manipulation and automation.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI and/or Spotfire for building visualizations and dynamic dashboards.
  • Strong SQL knowledge for querying databases; familiarity with Python or R is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to present complex data simply.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; 2+ years of experience preferred.
  • A conceptual understanding of oil / refining / petrochemical /upstream / downstream / agrochemical / Power / Renewable Energy / seed sector is desired.
