Containerization with Docker Build and tag Docker images using secure, efficient Dockerfiles (entrypoints, environment variables, volumes, and health checks) Kubernetes / OpenShift Deployment Create and manage Kubernetes objects like Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, and Secrets Use kubectl or oc CLI for deploying and debugging in EKS/OKE environments Configure readiness and liveness probes, resource limits, and lifecycle hooks GitOps Fundamentals with FluxCD Can work with version control (Git) Apply GitOps principles to manage deployments using FluxCD Maintain and update manifest files in Git repositories Understand and troubleshoot FluxCD interactions with Kubernetes and HelmReleases Ingress and Egress Networking Configure and troubleshoot OpenShift Routes and AWS ingress (ALB/NLB) Understand and apply egress rules using Security Groups, VPC routing, and NAT gateways AWS Cloud Service Knowledge Use EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, EKS, and CloudWatch in the context of application deployment Apply IAM policies and use CloudWatch metrics for app observability Use OpenTofu (Terraform) effectively to define environments as Infrastructure as Code CI/CD Integration with GitLab Write and maintain functional .gitlab-ci.yml pipeline configurations Structure pipelines into stages and jobs for build/test/deploy automation Configure and troubleshoot GitLab Runners Build and push Docker images using multi-stage builds and caching techniques Secrets and Configuration Management Store and access sensitive data using Kubernetes Secrets, ConfigMaps, Vault, or AWS Secrets Manager Separate build-time and runtime configuration logic in application deployment Logging and Monitoring Access logs through CloudWatch, OpenShift Console, Elastic and Dynatrace Use and create dashboards to monitor service health, latency, error rates, and capacity
