Role Description

• We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to manage and support enterprise-scale databases, data warehouses, and data marts within the Asset Management, Fund Accounting, and Investment domain. The role requires strong expertise in regulatory reporting (BaFin, FCA, Bundesbank), production stability, and large-scale data platforms. Help reduce Open Audit Findings with resolving underlying Audit Action Items within the stipulated closure deadlines
• You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and compliance of critical data platforms, partnering closely with business, audit, and technology stakeholders. This role also involves leading platform migrations, supporting regulatory initiatives, and driving continuous improvement across data engineering and integration landscapes.

Your key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day BAU operations and production stability for multiple data warehouse and database applications within Asset Management platforms
• Analyze complex inbound and outbound data flows, resolve production issues, and implement permanent remediation solutions.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to prioritize technical roadmaps, regulatory compliance, and platform enhancements.
• Support critical regulatory and audit initiatives, including closure of audit findings within stipulated timelines.
• Participate in platform migrations and shared services initiatives, including Informatica IICS cloud onboarding and application migrations.
• Migrate on-premise Informatica PowerCenter workflows to Informatica IICS / IDMC cloud orchestrations.
• Design, document, and maintain technical and integration architectures across development, runtime, and operations layers.
• Schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot batch jobs involving shell scripts, Oracle procedures, file transfers, and integrations.
• Create technical documentation and knowledge transfer artifacts (KOPs) for L2/L3 support teams.
• Collaborate with business analysts and users to translate requirements into technical deliverables.
• Work in Agile/Scrum environments, supporting both development and L2/L3 production support activities.
• Demonstrate flexibility to learn new technologies and take on additional responsibilities as required.

Your skills and experience

• 10–15 years of overall IT experience with at least 10+ years in Asset Management data platforms.
• Strong experience with Data Warehousing, OLTP, and ETL using Informatica, Oracle, and SQL Server.
• Extensive experience designing and developing Informatica workflows, including SCD (Type 1–4/6) and rank-based ETL topologies.
• Hands-on expertise in Oracle 12c, Exadata, Data Guard, and HPE clusters.
• Strong skills in Unix/Linux, Bash scripting, Python, and Oracle PL/SQL.
• Proven ability in performance tuning, optimization, and large-scale data processing.
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly GCP (AWS exposure is an advantage).
• Strong understanding of regulatory reporting frameworks (BaFin, FCA, Bundesbank).
• Experience supporting Asset Management front-office and back-office systems, fund accounting, ledgers, and AUM flows.
• Strong knowledge of integration patterns (point-to-point, pub/sub) and enterprise messaging.
• Experience with TIBCO BW 5.x/6.x, EMS, ActiveMatrix Adapters, Web Services, and SOA architectures.
• Hands-on experience with IBM MQ / Cloud Pak environments.
• Experience migrating Informatica PowerCenter repositories to IICS on GCP or AWS.

Added Advantage

• Product knowledge of Eagle PACE and Eagle Access.
• Experience with StreamSets, Fabric/OCP, and microservices-based architectures.
• Experience integrating Kafka, MQ, and streaming platforms for real-time data ingestion.
• Strong experience with REST/SOAP APIs, HTTP, JMS, Web Services Listener/Client implementations.
• Experience with iPaaS platforms such as Informatica IICS / CloudHub.
