Equifax is looking for a DBA who will design, create and maintain databases in a client/server environment. Works on more complex, larger and higher importance/impact databases and projects. Lead database development projects and advise management and users on new or optimal technologies or methods to frequently improve the functionality and/or efficiency of the organization's databases Will coach, train and mentor junior team members

What you will do

• MYSQL Database version upgrades.

• MYSQL Installation, Configuration, and Upgrades (On-premise & Cloud) , CloudSQL, PostgreSQL

• Patch testing and deployment

• Proactive database capacity planning

• Performance and scalability goals

• High availability and disaster recovery goals

• Data security and protection

• Functionality, stress, and load testing

• Compliance initiatives (SOX, PCI, etc.)

• Participate in production on-call Execute major database migrations as well as application migrations, with minimal system downtime

• Ensure database standards are followed and implemented

• Database health monitoring

• Technical Documentation

• Review procedures

• Proactively monitor production database systems, analyze findings, formulate recommendations, and implement recommendations

• Write queries to create custom reports for internal and external stakeholders

• Sprint Deployments - database modifications and/or data fixes written by developer team

• Advise developer team on best practices

• Restore databases from backups to support data specific production investigations

• Database and SQL Tuning

What experience you need

• BS or Associate's Degree/Technical Certification or equivalent job experience required

• 2+ years’ experience as an MYSQL, mariadb,Postgres production,PostgreSQL and development DBA in a 24*7 environment

• Experience in SQL  scripting and tuning

• Experience with Linux (and Windows) required including Shell Scripting.

• Knowledge of DB Tools/Utilities (e.g., PgAdmin)

• 1+ years experience with Cloud technology: Preferred - GCP, AWS, or Azure

• Good to have Basic Knowledge of DB2

What could set you apart

• Experience with MYSQL, mariadb , PostgreSQL disaster recovery, failover, and rebuilding of database linux box

• AWS / GCP managed Postgres experience

• Experience migrating from a local-install MYSQL, mariadb,Postgres into a cloud managed MYSQL, mariadb, postgres

• Experience with very large databases, both in terms of Record count and Schema size

• Experience with Google Spanner

• Experience with tools like Datadog and DPA

• Google Cloud Certifications
