Job Summary:

A Delivery Driver is responsible for transporting goods from a business to customers or other locations in a safe, timely, and professional manner. This role may involve driving a car, van, or light truck, depending on the size and type of the delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Pick up and deliver packages to customers on a scheduled route

Load and unload products from the vehicle

Ensure timely and accurate delivery

Verify delivery information, such as names, addresses, and phone numbers

Collect payments or obtain signatures when required

Inspect and maintain vehicle (fueling, cleanliness, basic maintenance)

Follow all traffic laws and company safety policies

Communicate with dispatch or supervisor regarding delivery status

Provide excellent customer service

Requirements:

Valid driver’s license (clean driving record often required)

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred, but not always required)

Experience driving or delivery (preferred, but entry-level roles available)

Ability to lift packages (often 30–50 lbs or more)

Good communication and customer service skills

Knowledge of GPS and navigation apps

Time management and organizational skills

Driver is suppose to deliver goods to the party in stipulated time
