Job Description

A Salesforce CPQ Administrator/ Delivery Lead IT – CPQ & eCommerce involves designing, implementing, and maintaining the Salesforce Configure, Price, Quote system to automate and streamline sales processes, including product configuration, pricing rules, and quote generation. Common responsibilities include gathering requirements, customizing CPQ functionality, creating pricing models, and integrating with other systems. Key skills for these roles include knowledge of Salesforce CPQ, Apex, and general software development principles, along with strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • CPQ System Administration:
    • Accepting support requests, gathering requirements, remediating issues, amending approval flows, and supporting price book/product updates.
  • Requirements gathering and analysis:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and document business needs for the CPQ solution.
  • Solution design and implementation:
    • Design and build CPQ solutions, including product catalogs, pricing rules, discount structures, and quote templates.
  • Customization and development:
    • Customize the CPQ tool using declarative tools, and potentially Apex, Visualforce, or other code, to meet specific requirements.
  • Integration:
    • Integrate Salesforce CPQ with other Salesforce clouds (like Sales and Service) and external systems.
  • Pricing and quoting:
    • Develop complex pricing models, manage discount schedules, and ensure accurate and efficient quote generation.
  • Troubleshooting and maintenance:
    • Resolve technical issues, perform code reviews, and provide ongoing support for the CPQ system.
  • Documentation and training:
    • Create technical documentation and provide training to end-users and administrators.
  • Backlog management:
    • Own and prioritize the product backlog, translating business requirements into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria for the development team.
  • Testing and quality assurance:
    • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure features meet business expectations before change management and release.
  • Continuous improvement:
  • Monitor system performance, gather user feedback, and identify opportunities for enhancement and optimization.
  • Basic Qualifications

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Salesforce certifications within specific on CPQ Administrator or Specialist
  • 5+ years of experience in CPQ Applications, with significant focus on Salesforce CPQ, strategic initiatives level to managing large projects.
  • Demonstrated track record of owning delivery responsibility for commercial solutions and their integration into MDM and SAP.
  • Strong knowledge of business process supporting CPQ, salesforce.
  • Certification in ITIL, PMP, or equivalent frameworks.
  • Familiarity with integration platforms like Boomi to enable seamless cross-system data flow.
  • Experience managing global service delivery teams across onshore and offshore models.
  • Proven expertise in IT governance, service management (ITIL), project delivery (Agile/Waterfall), and vendor management.
