Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

1. Study & Analysis of SOR/ Drawings for vehicle driveline system/sub-system components

2. Having capability of identification of cost drivers in ferrous and non-ferrous casting and forging components manufacturing process

3. Sound techno-commercial knowledge of manufacturing processes of castings and forgings components

4.  Knowledge of selection of manufacturing processes based on drawing/Tolerances.

5. Product / Process Cost Demystification

6.  Sound knowledge of machining cycle time estimation / Most techniques 

7. Good knowledge of gear manufacturing processes

8. Conversant with various heat treatment processes for forgings and casting components

9. Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques , TPM , TQM will be added advantage

10. Conversant with various heat treatment processes for forgings and casting components

11. Knowledge of target Costing / Business case preparation.

12. Coordination with various agencies (Design/Product Planning / Sourcing / Component Development/Platform teams)

13. Knowledge of various casting and forgings material grades , metallurgy for various application in automotive and farm industry

14. Having good knowledge of SPM/GPM-HMC & VMC , CNC machines from manufacturing perspective

15. Good Soft skill of Microsoft office. (MS Excel, word, Power point presentation etc)

16. On time release of SBC to SSU for meeting target timeline for settlement

General Experience

Minimum 5 Years of relevant experience in casting and forging industry in the field of automotive and farm industry in functions like component development, manufacturing . New product development , should be costing of parts etc.
