Role Overview
We are seeking a Director of Engineering to lead the architecture, development, and global scale-out of our Security Service Edge (SSE) platform.
This role is responsible for building and evolving our cloud-native security platform that delivers comprehensive protection across users, devices, applications, data, and network traffic — spanning branch, hybrid, multi-cloud, and internet environments.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned engineering leader with deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud-native architecture, and enterprise security platforms. You will shape the long-term technical strategy, drive execution excellence, and build a high-performing engineering organization in India that supports a globally deployed SaaS platform.

Key Responsibilities
•    Define and execute the long-term engineering roadmap for the SSE platform aligned with business objectives.
•    Build, mentor, and scale high-performing engineering teams.
•    Establish strong architectural governance, engineering best practices, and quality standards.
•    Champion secure-by-design principles across application code, infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines.
•    Partner closely with Product Management to evolve core SSE capabilities including Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), Secure Web Gateway (SWG), CASB, policy engines, traffic inspection, analytics, and identity integrations.
•    Recruit and retain top engineering talent in cloud, distributed systems, and cybersecurity domains.
•    Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, operational rigor, and continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Experience
•    15+ years in software development and 5+ years in engineering leadership
•    Proven experience building and scaling SaaS engineering teams.
•    Strong track record of delivering complex, cloud-native security or networking products.
•    Deep understanding of SSE/SASE architecture principles and zero-trust frameworks.
•    Strong background in distributed systems, microservices architectures, and hyperscale environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
•    Experience with identity systems (SSO, MFA, OAuth, SAML), policy engines, and traffic inspection frameworks.
•    Familiarity with DevOps best practices, CI/CD pipelines, observability, reliability engineering, and automation.
•    Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Go and Python.
