Experienced Tourism Back Office Manager

The Tourism Back Office Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all operational aspects of domestic and international tours to ensure seamless travel experiences for clients. This includes designing and finalizing customized and fixed-departure tour packages, managing bookings, transport, accommodation, sightseeing, guides, and meals, while maintaining cost-efficiency and client satisfaction. The role involves negotiating with hotels, transport agencies, and activity providers to secure the best rates and service quality, along with building and maintaining strong vendor relationships. The manager also coordinates with sales teams to understand client needs, ensures clear communication, and provides real-time support during tours to handle any issues. Additionally, they lead and supervise the operations staff, monitor performance, train new team members, and ensure efficient team functioning. Reporting duties include maintaining records of bookings, cancellations, feedback, and vendor interactions, tracking costs and profitability, and ensuring compliance with travel regulations, visas, insurance, and safety protocols. The ideal candidate should hold a degree in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field, possess proven experience in tour operations, and demonstrate strong organizational, negotiation, and leadership skills. A customer-focused, problem-solving attitude and proficiency in travel software and tools are essential, along with a willingness to travel as needed.
