Role Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Associate/Accountant to join our finance team. The individual will be responsible for key accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger Maintenance, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Tax Compliance, and more. This role will support the efficient management of financial operations, reporting, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Accounts Payable (AP):

Process and manage vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.

Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.

Maintain AP records and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Assist in managing cash flow and controlling expenses.

Accounts Receivable (AR):

Generate and send customer invoices for goods and services rendered.

Monitor outstanding receivables, follow up on overdue accounts, and ensure timely collections.

Reconcile AR transactions and manage payment discrepancies.

Maintain accurate customer records and track payments.

General Ledger Maintenance:

Maintain the general ledger by posting journal entries and ensuring accurate account classifications.

Perform reconciliations for all accounts and resolve any discrepancies.

Ensure all financial transactions are recorded in accordance with company policies and accounting principles.

Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):

Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support business decisions.

Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improvement.

Prepare variance reports comparing actual performance to budgeted figures and forecast projections.

Tax Compliance and Advisory:

Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns, including corporate, sales, and payroll taxes.

Advise on tax-efficient strategies and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.

Liaise with tax authorities and manage any audits or inquiries.

Month-End and Year-End Closings:

Support the month-end and year-end closing process by ensuring accurate and timely financial records.

Reconcile all accounts, prepare financial statements, and review for completeness and accuracy.

Assist with audits and ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements.

Financial Reporting:

Prepare and present financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Analyze financial data and ensure that reports reflect the true financial position of the company.

Assist with internal and external financial reporting and audits.

Payroll Processing:

Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees.

Maintain records of employee salaries, bonuses, benefits, and deductions.

Ensure compliance with payroll-related laws and regulations, including tax withholding and contributions.

Regulatory Reporting:

Prepare and submit reports required by regulatory bodies, including financial disclosures and compliance documentation.

Ensure the company meets all financial regulations and deadlines for submissions.

Stay updated on changes in regulations and incorporate them into reporting processes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting.

Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
