Role Description

The Workplace Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Team is responsible for the operations of technologies and applications present in DB’s Workplace, such as:

  • Print Services (LRS, HPO WebJet Admin)
  • Meeting Room devices (Cisco CUCM and Endpoints, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Pexip)
  • Digital Signage (TriplePlay)
  • End-User Peripherals (Monitors, Headsets, etc.)

 

Workplace SRE is responsible for the deployment of new systems and features in production, supporting the existing environment while maintaining internal controls for reliability, audit, and security of such systems.

Your key responsibilities

Perform administrative and operational tasks to maintain enterprise print and scan infrastructure across APAC, EMEA, and the US. This includes managing LRS VPSX, HP print ecosystems, print servers, enterprise print workflows, and associated network dependencies.

The SME will be responsible for:

  • Troubleshooting and resolution of issues across the global enterprise print and scan platforms, including LRS VPSX, HP devices, and print server infrastructure
  • Performing service administration tasks, such as VPSX configuration updates, certificate renewals, queue management, and policy adjustments in line with agreed service levels
  • Executing periodic disaster recovery testing for printing services and ensuring recovery documentation and procedures remain accurate and up to date
  • Performing patching, maintenance, and remediation activities for print servers, LRS components, HP WJA, and all supporting services
  • Coordinating Level 3 incident management and acting as the global escalation point for enterprise print issues, ensuring swift resolution of business‑critical incidents
  • Driving root cause analysis and permanent fixes to improve platform stability and prevent recurring incidents
  • Automating health checks and monitoring, ensuring proactive detection of service degradation, device failures, and workflow disruptions
  • Managing vendor engagement, including HP support coordination, warranty cases, and device fleet lifecycle management
  • Providing efficient, effective, and timely support for compliance and audit requests involving print workflows, logs, and output tracking
  • Serving as the subject matter expert and operational owner for global print and scan services, advising engineering, security, and operations teams

Your skills and experience

Technical skills - essential

Demonstrable experience in upgrading, installing, configuring and supporting some or all the technologies supported by Deutsche Bank’s Workplace SRE, such as,

  • Application: LRS Output management software, HP Security Manager (HPSM), HP Device Connect (HPDC)
  •  OS & Infra: Windows Server, IIS, Certificates
  •  Monitoring: Geneos
  •  Automation: PowerShell
  •  Vendors: HP, Atos, Managed Service Providers
  • Demonstrable experience in playing a leading role in a global level 3 or similar team and working within an ITIL or similar process.
  • Demonstratable experience administrating a Unix environment
  • Strong career interest with a focus on professional improvement focused on Real Time Communications technologies.
  • Comfortable working in a team with a diverse skill set, location and culture across different countries.
  • Must be adaptable and quickly understand the new technologies / emerging markets.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen, understand and present clear solutions to problems.
  • Proven track record in problem solving, within a medium to large enterprise environment.
  • The candidate will operate within a team to support the Global On-Call Rota, facilitate weekend changes, and remote support where required.

Technical Skills - beneficial

  • Microsoft Azure Services (Entra ID, Intune)
  • PowerShell
  • Understanding of monitoring systems (Tivoli, Netcool, SCOM 2007/2012, Nectar etc.)
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the financial services industry
  • Windows Server administration
  • MS SQL Administration

General skills

  • Enterprise level experience.
  • Building on a very strong technical knowledge in the aforementioned areas, the candidate must have strong support/troubleshooting skills, operate on their own accord, and work together in a global team with a strong worth ethic and communication skills.  
  • Preferable Banking experience.

Education & qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree level in Computer Science, or a related discipline, from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience and certifications
  • Preferably hold UNIX certifications in relevant technologies
  • Consider Cisco certifications Microsoft certifications, LRS Certifications, ITIL

Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years as an Associate/Engineer supporting server infrastructure, and networking is required.
  • Experience in Enterprise Print operations and L3 support.
  • Financial services sector experience beneficial.
