Position: Restaurant Operations Manager / Hotel Management Executive

Department: Food & Beverage / Restaurant Operations

Reporting To: Owner / General Manager

Role Overview

The Restaurant Operations Manager is responsible for managing complete day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring discipline in opening hours, staff management, customer service, and smooth coordination between the Chef team and the Manager/Service team. The role requires strong hotel management knowledge, computer skills, and expertise in handling online delivery platforms like Zomato and Swiggy.

Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Restaurant Operations

• Ensure timely opening and closing of the restaurant with zero delays.
• Oversee dining area, kitchen, POS counter, housekeeping, and hygiene.
• Maintain proper workflow and guest service standards throughout the day.

2. Staff Management & Team Coordination

• Manage Chefs, Managers, service staff, and helpers.
• Maintain a positive working environment between Chef and Manager teams.
• Resolve conflicts and ensure smooth communication.
• Prepare staff duties, shifts, attendance, and performance tracking.

3. Customer Service Excellence

• Ensure guests receive the best dining experience.
• Address customer concerns politely and professionally.
• Monitor food quality, service timing, and table turnover efficiency.

4. Zomato & Swiggy Management

• Manage all daily operations on Zomato and Swiggy platforms.
• Accept orders on time and ensure fast coordination with the kitchen.
• Track order preparation time, dispatch time, and maintain high ratings.
• Manage menu updates, pricing, offers, discounts, and item availability on delivery apps.
• Handle issues like late orders, cancellations, refund approvals, and customer complaints.
• Monitor platform performance reports and improve delivery efficiency.
• Coordinate with delivery partners and ensure proper packaging standards.
• Ensure that the Rush On, Busy, or Pause settings are used properly (only when needed).

5. Computer & Administrative Responsibilities

• Operate POS billing system, Excel, Google Sheets, and restaurant management software.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports:
• Sales summary
• Inventory usage
• Expense reports
• Online delivery platform performance (Zomato/Swiggy)

• Maintain digital records, vendor bills, and staff data.

6. Kitchen Coordination & Quality Control

• Work closely with Chef team for food prep timing, recipe consistency, and stock usage.
• Ensure communication between kitchen and service teams is smooth during rush hours.
• Maintain hygiene, safety, and FSSAI standards.

7. Inventory & Vendor Management

• Check daily stock levels and place purchase orders.
• Reduce wastage, leakage, and misuse of materials.
• Verify received stock, supplier bills, and maintain accurate inventory reports.
