Housekeeping Supervisor

Organisation: Hotel Solitaire, Hinjawadi

Reporting To: Operations Manager / Managing Partner

Location: Pune

Experience: 2–5 years (Hotel Housekeeping preferred)

ROLE OBJECTIVE

To ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, room readiness, and upkeep of public areas while efficiently managing housekeeping staff and inventory.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Room & Public Area Management

• Ensure all guest rooms are cleaned and inspected as per hotel standards

• Supervise cleanliness of lobbies, corridors, washrooms, banquet areas, and back areas

• Ensure rooms are ready on time for check-ins

2. Staff Supervision & Scheduling

• Allocate daily duties to housekeeping staff

• Maintain duty rosters and attendance

• Train staff on SOPs, hygiene, and guest handling

3. Quality Control & Inspections

• Conduct daily room inspections using checklists

• Report maintenance issues and coordinate with engineering

• Ensure linen, amenities, and toiletries meet standards

4. Inventory & Linen Control

• Maintain linen stock, uniforms, cleaning supplies

• Track usage, losses, and damages

• Raise indents and ensure cost control

5. Guest Handling & Coordination

• Address guest complaints related to housekeeping promptly

• Coordinate with Front Office for room status updates

• Handle special guest requests efficiently

6. Hygiene, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and sanitation norms

• Proper handling of chemicals and equipment

• Maintain pest control and deep cleaning schedules

7. Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain room status reports and checklists

• Submit daily housekeeping reports

• Support audits and management inspections
