Associate Director – Human Resources Consulting Group
This role serves as a key member of the Human Resources Consulting Group , focusing on implementing and executing HR initiatives that support business strategy. This role is responsible for delivering specialized HR projects, providing consultative support to Mid-level leader and implementing HR programs that enhance employee experience and operational effectiveness across TIAA Global Capabilities in India.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Execute HR initiatives aligned with short to mid-term HR strategies supporting business objectives.
  • Provide HR consulting, coaching, and guidance to mid-level managers.
  • Implement organization design changes, assist with change management initiatives, and support talent management processes.
  • Plays a key role in delivery of various cyclical HR processes such as performance management, talent management, compensation review, promotion etc.
  • Analyze human capital data to develop insights and recommendations for business leaders.
  • Adapt and implement global HR programs (Talent, DEI, Rewards, Learning, ER) to meet local needs.
  • Support compliance requirements, performance management processes, and talent review cycles.
  • Provides advice on employee behavioral and performance issues.
  • Address HR inquiries and escalations, recommending appropriate solutions and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Manage multiple concurrent HR projects with minimal supervision.

ROLE SUMMARY

Description

The Human Resources Consulting Group (HRCG) serves as an internal consulting team that owns short to mid-term strategy execution and operational direction for the People function in alignment with organization objectives. The incumbent is expected to lead a team of HR generalists responsible for seamless delivery of time-bound project assignments and cyclical activities, lending core HR support to mid-level people leaders across India.

Key responsibilities

Client Partnership

  • This role partners with client-aligned Business Area HR Leaders (BHRLs) and other People Team Centers of Excellence (COEs) to ensure the HRCG delivers a distinctive, consistent, and scalable experience for people leaders and associates.

Employee Relations

  • Responsible for overseeing the design, implementation and administration of employee relations programs, policies, and procedures in accordance with the organization's strategy. The incumbent is considered a recognized master in the field of Employee Relations.
  • Implements the organization's employee relations strategy to minimize the negative impact of individual employee grievances or collective labor disputes.
  • Maintains open communication between management and employees and serves as a labor dispute mediator for problem resolution.
  • Investigates employee complaints of alleged discrimination, favouritism and/ or retaliation

under the various employment laws.

  • Partners with the TIAA GC legal team on investigations and handling progressive discipline actions in accordance with the policy.
  • Develops and provides training/guidance to departments on the discipline process and

makes recommendations on strategy to resolve employee problems reducing turnover.

  • On an ongoing basis partner with the US ER teams to drive standardization in practices, processes wherever applicable.
  • Monitors legislative updates and changes to case laws to ensure organizational compliance and to assess any impacts on the organization's policies and practices.

HR Consulting & Execution

  • Provide human capital guidance and advice to clients and colleagues.
  • Provides HR consulting, advice and coaching to support and enable local business strategy for business and functional leaders
  • Lead the delivery of human capital solutions through data-driven insights, scenario modeling, and consultative problem-solving.
  • Partner with COEs (Talent, DEI, Rewards, Learning, ER) to localize global initiatives and embed solutions tailored to the India GCC landscape.
  • Partner with HR COEs to improve company performance by identifying and clarifying problems, evaluating potential solutions and implementing selected solution.

Educational Requirements

  • MBA/ PGDM in Human Resources or related field from a reputed institution.

Work Experience

  • 12-15 years of progressive HR experience with at least 4-5 years handling Employe Relations.
  • Working knowledge of HR Tech tools and exposure to Workday Help or similar other Case Management platforms.
  • Experience working in or with Global Capability Centers (GCCs) in India; understanding of global HR delivery models and local compliance requirements.
  • Ability to influence at senior levels with executive presence and commercial acumen.
