Job Title: HR Executive

“Manages HR functions like recruitment, employee relations, and compliance for a workforce that includes both factory floor and office staff. Key responsibilities include coordinating recruitment, managing attendance and payroll, ensuring adherence to labor laws, handling grievances, and overseeing performance appraisals and training. The role requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on manufacturing-specific labor laws and employee safety. ”

Designation: HR Executive 

Reports to: Director

Department: HR & Admin

 

Key Responsibilities

·        Recruitment and Onboarding:

o   Coordinate recruitment drives for both shop floor and office staff.

o   Conduct interviews, screening, and offer letters.

o   Manage the onboarding process for new hires, including induction and orientation.

·        Employee Relations and Grievance Handling:

o   Act as a liaison between management and employees.

o   Address employee grievances and resolve conflicts.

o   Liaise with labor unions as needed.

·        Compliance and Administration:

o   Ensure compliance with labor laws, such as the Factories Act, Payment of Wages Act, and others specific to the state.

o   Manage employee records, attendance, leave, and payroll processing.

o   Handle exit formalities, including exit interviews.

·        Performance and Training:

o   Support the performance appraisal process.

o   Assist in creating employee development plans.

o   Organize and coordinate employee training programs.

·        Health and Safety:

o   Monitor and help ensure adherence to company safety policies and procedures.

o   Address safety issues and complaints from the workplace. 

Qualifications and Skills

·        Education: A bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field is typical.

·        Experience: Previous HR experience, preferably within the manufacturing or industrial sector, is highly desirable.

·        Skills:

o   Sound knowledge of labor laws is critical.

o   Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.

o   Problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities are key for handling employee relations.

o   Ability to manage a large workforce.
