Role Overview: 

We are seeking an experienced SAP PPDS Consultant with 7–10 years of handson expertise in Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling. The ideal candidate will have strong functional knowledge, excellent problemsolving skills, and the ability to drive endtoend PPDS implementations and enhancements. 

Responsibilities:

• Lead requirementgathering sessions and translate business needs into functional specifications for SAP PPDS. 

• Configure and customize PPDS functionalities including heuristics, planning strategies, pegging, capacity planning, and detailed scheduling. 

• Manage and validate PPDSrelated master data such as PDS, resources, work centers, and planning areas. 

• Optimize production planning and scheduling processes to improve throughput, reduce lead times, and enhance resource utilization. 

• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams (PP, MM, QM, APO, IBP, SCM) to ensure seamless integration. 

• Drive endtoend implementation activities including blueprinting, configuration, testing, UAT, golive, and hypercare. 

• Troubleshoot complex PPDS issues and provide timely resolutions. 

• Prepare documentation, SOPs, and conduct user training sessions. 

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members when required. 

Required Skills & Experience: 

• 7–10 years of experience in SAP PPDS or APO PPDS. 

• BE/B.Tech with good industrial experience.  

• Strong understanding of production planning, MRP, capacity planning, and scheduling concepts. 

• Handson experience with PPDS heuristics, optimizer, and detailed scheduling boards. 

• Solid knowledge of CIF integration between ECC/S/4HANA and PPDS. 

• Experience in at least one fullcycle SAP implementation (S/4HANA embedded PPDS preferred). 

• Ability to analyze complex business scenarios and propose effective solutions. 

• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills. 

Good to Have: 

• Experience with S/4HANA embedded PPDS. 

• Exposure to IBP, APO SNP, or other advanced planning tools. 

• Experience in manufacturing sectors such as FMCG, Pharma, Automotive, or Engineering.
