Role Description
- The Group Chief Security Office (CSO) is responsible for both the physical security and the protection of Deutsche Bank information. Every day we need to respond to new threats that may affect the bank’s operations. Together we protect the bank’s employees, infrastructure, processes, and information.
- Within the global CSO organisation, Information Security & Production Service (ISPS) is establishing a continuous‑improvement team to sustain ISPS continuous‑improvement agenda and ensuring that Access Lifecycle and operational processes remain efficient, controlled and fit‑for‑purpose.
- We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced person to join as key Subject Matter Expert (SME) Information Security & Production Services (ISPS) team with focus on Identity & Access Management (IAM), driving continuous improvement within our Business-as-Usual (BAU) operations.

Your key responsibilities
- BAU Embedded Improvements: Proactively identify, analyse, and implement opportunities to enhance and streamline existing Identity & Access Management BAU processes, focusing on efficiency, effectiveness, and adherence to security policies.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Develop, maintain, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for IAM operations. Conduct monthly performance monitoring to identify trends, areas for improvement, and ensure service level objectives are met.
- Problem Resolution: Provide support and expertise in resolving complex IAM-related operational issues and incidents, contributing to root cause analysis and preventative measures.
- Manual Effort Reduction: Lead initiatives to reduce manual effort within IAM processes through automation, tooling, and process re-engineering, thereby improving operational efficiency and reducing human error.
- Long‑term maintenance of standard operating procedures and controls. It also serves as ISPS’ SME for CSO‑wide automation initiatives that do not overlap with CSO CTOs automation efforts, ensuring ISPS‑specific operational needs are represented and considered.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate effectively with various internal teams to align IAM strategies and implement security enhancements.
Your skills and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Security, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Information Security, with a significant focus on Identity & Access Management (IAM).
- Proven track record of driving process improvements, reducing manual effort, and enhancing operational efficiency within a complex enterprise environment.
- Experience of process improvement methods like Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen is required
- Solid understanding of IAM concepts, technologies, and best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex technical issues into clear and concise business requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement Key Performance Indicator (KPIs) and metrics for performance monitoring.
- Experience in documenting and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and control frameworks.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) in English and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
- Proactive, self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.
