What you will do
In this role, the person will be reporting to the IT Director - ERP Transformation, working on various projects across the enterprise. He or she will be responsible for the quality and timeline of the integration work in projects.
How you will do it
- The Oracle Project to Close Functional Consultant is responsible for implementing and supporting Oracle ERP Cloud modules related to the Project to Close business process, which typically covers areas such as Project Financials, Project Accounting, Costing, Billing, and Revenue Recognition. The role involves working with business stakeholders to gather requirements, configure Oracle solutions, deliver process improvements, provide end-user training, and support post-go-live activities.
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and design Oracle solutions to meet functional needs.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technical teams.
- Oversee system configurations, testing, data validation, and user training.
- Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Lead workshops, drive solution design, and present recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Procurement, Finance, HR, IT) to ensure seamless integration across modules.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior functional consultants.
- Manage issue resolution, enhancement requests, and system upgrades/patches.
- Act as subject matter expert for Oracle project to close modules during transformation programs, implementations, and support.
- Reviewing and approving all deliverable work products prior to delivery to customers
- Influences senior business leaders on business process improvement and data quality.
- Collaborates with ePMO Program Managers.
- Collaborates with Global Infrastructure Architects
- Support solution operations leader to improve reliability and efficiency.
What we look for
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or related field
- Preferred 15+ years of deep functional understanding & experience of Oracle Cloud Applications relevant to Projects (Project Financials, Project Accounting, etc.), including at least 5 years in a lead role.
- Strong knowledge of Project to Close business processes and integration points (e.g., General Ledger, Receivables).
- Outstanding analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Preferred experience Oracle ERP Implementation in Installation and Service Industry
- Strong knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite (R12) and/or Oracle Cloud ERP Financials.
- Proven experience in full lifecycle Oracle Finance implementations and upgrades.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial processes, and reporting.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities to technical as well as business audience
- Experience leading workshops, UAT sessions, and training end-users.
- Ability to manage priorities across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- At least 5 year of experience leading projects in an onsite/offshore model
- Experience working with customers to gather requirements and defining the solutions for small and large projects
- Ability to work independently and in teams, often in a client-facing capacity.

Preferred skills
- Oracle certification preferred.
- Knowledge of integration points with Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, and Finance modules.
- Familiarity with reporting tools (OTBI, BI Publisher, FRS).
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
