Java Production Support Engineer

Java Prod Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and support production environments to ensure high availability and performance.
• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with development teams for release deployment and bug fixes.
• Manage incident logs and communicate with stakeholders regarding issue resolution.
• Maintain and update support documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
• Participate in on-call rotations and support during off-hours when necessary.
• Implement and improve automation scripts for incident mitigation and efficiency.
• Assist in capacity planning and performance tuning activities.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

• 5-7 years of experience in production support or a similar role.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Nagios, Splunk, AppDynamics).
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python, Perl).
• Familiarity with databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.

Software Requirements:

• Proficiency in Java programming language
• Knowledge of Java frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, and Struts
• Familiarity with Java development tools such as Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA, and NetBeans
• Knowledge of databases such as MySQL, Oracle, and SQL Server
