Smoothie Parlor Chef is responsible for overseeing the preparation of all smoothies, juices, bowls, and other beverage/food items. This role combines culinary arts, quality control, inventory management, and food safety compliance to ensure a consistent, high-quality, and creative menu.

• Key Responsibilities1. Menu and Recipe DevelopmentCreate and Standardize Recipes: Develop and test new smoothie, juice, and bowl recipes, ensuring consistency in taste, texture, and nutritional value.
• Menu Maintenance: Update and refine the existing menu, considering seasonal ingredients, cost efficiency, and customer trends.
• Ingredient Expertise: Maintain a thorough knowledge of ingredients, their nutritional benefits, and common allergens to answer customer inquiries and accommodate dietary restrictions.
• Preparation: Oversee or personally manage the daily preparation of fresh ingredients (e.g., cutting fruit, preparing vegetable bases, blending core mixes).
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all products are made according to established recipes and presentation standards, maintaining the highest level of taste and appearance.
• Speed and Efficiency: Direct workflow during peak hours to ensure fast, accurate service while maintaining product quality.
• Inventory & Ordering: Monitor ingredient stock, track usage, place orders with suppliers, and ensure efficient rotation (FIFO) to minimize waste.
• Equipment Maintenance: Operate, clean, and maintain all smoothie-making equipment, including blenders, juicers, and prep tools.
• Cleanliness & Safety: Enforce and adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards (HACCP or local equivalent) for the preparation and storage areas.
• 4. Team Leadership & Customer ServiceTraining: Train new and existing staff on proper smoothie preparation techniques, recipe adherence, presentation standards, and food safety protocols.
• Customer Interaction: Assist team members with complex orders, address customer feedback, and provide friendly, knowledgeable service, especially regarding product recommendations and nutritional information.
• Required Qualifications & SkillsProven experience as a Smoothie Maker, Barista, Juice Bar Attendant, or in a similar high-volume food service role.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations, particularly in a food preparation environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for healthy food/beverages and a commitment to product quality.
