Job Summary
Synechron is seeking an experienced Lead MuleSoft developer to spearhead the design, development, and deployment of API-led integration solutions. In this role, you will lead cross-functional teams, evaluate emerging technologies, and guide projects to improve organizational agility and digital transformation initiatives. Your expertise will support the organization’s strategy to leverage innovative integration techniques, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver scalable, enterprise-grade solutions that meet business needs.

Software Requirements

• Required:

  • Strong proficiency in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including API designer, Exchange, and Runtime engine

  • Extensive experience with API development, deployment, and management

  • Knowledge of Java, RESTful web services, and API design best practices

  • Familiarity with cloud deployment models (AWS, Azure, GCP) for API hosting and management

  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Docker for automation and deployment

  • Proven track record in integrating with various enterprise systems and databases

• Preferred:

  • Certifications in MuleSoft (MuleSoft Certified Developer or Architect)

  • Experience with microservices architecture and container orchestration (Kubernetes)

Overall Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of API and integration projects using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.

• Mentor and guide team members to develop high-quality, scalable, and secure integration solutions.

• Identify and evaluate new technology solutions to optimize business processes and improve system interoperability.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, enterprise architects, and developers to align integration strategies with organizational goals.

• Stay current with the latest advancements in MuleSoft, API management, and API security to drive continuous improvement.

• Define best practices for API design, security, and governance, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

• Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and quality assurance activities to meet organizational and client expectations.

Technical Skills (By Category)

• Programming Languages:
  Required: Java, JavaScript, and familiarity with MuleSoft’s scripting capabilities
  Preferred: Python or other scripting languages for automation

• Databases/Data Management:
  Experience with relational (Oracle, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases for data integration purposes

• Cloud Technologies:
  AWS, Azure, or GCP integration services and deployment options (preferred)

• Frameworks and Libraries:
  MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, API Gateway, DataWeave, and related connectors

• Development Tools and Methodologies:
  MuleSoft Anypoint Studio, Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Agile/Scrum practices

• Security Protocols:
  Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, API security best practices, and encryption standards

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years focused on MuleSoft API development and integration projects.

• Proven experience leading MuleSoft projects and managing technical teams.

• Demonstrated success in designing scalable API solutions and system integrations in enterprise environments.

• Experience working within Agile teams, emphasizing collaboration and continuous delivery.

• Prior experience with cloud-based deployments and microservices architecture is highly desirable.

• Industry experience in finance, healthcare, or technology sectors is preferred.

Day-to-Day Activities

• Oversee the end-to-end development of MuleSoft integration projects, from design to deployment.

• Provide technical leadership, reviews, and mentorship to team members.

• Work closely with product, architecture, and operations teams to ensure solutions meet technical and business standards.

• Evaluate new tools and techniques to enhance system performance and scalability.

• Develop and enforce API governance, security policies, and documentation protocols.

• Stay informed on trends and innovations in MuleSoft and API management, recommending improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• MuleSoft Certified Developer or Architect certification strongly preferred.

• Proven experience with enterprise integration, API design, and cloud deployment.
