Reporting to the Center of Excellence (COE)( Metals& Pkg) Sr.Director of Strategic Sourcing, this position is responsible for creating value by communicating the latest trends in commodities (Metals) and maintaining and owning the data base. This role has very high visibility within the organization to guide the various business as this data will provide critical information to help guide strategic decision making. The candidate will utilize various market intelligence sources, interact/consult Global leading economists and advisors to sustain with accurate and updated market data. In addition, this person will also support the Center of Excellence (COE) with some key KPI ownership and support to drive but not limited to activities like HGR (Hight growth region) moves, 1:1:1 supplier rationalizations and other areas to support.

Responsibilities:

·       Develop an already existing data base on Commodities by leveraging best-in-class suppliers (Market intelligence), processes to enable a competitive advantage.

·       Develop and maintain the existing cadence of communication and continuously look to improve and adapt.

·       Partner with Global Commodity sourcing partners to gain and develop good knowledge on key commodities impacting the organization.

·       Lead the weekly and monthly communications in a sustainable way with minimum variations from the defined framework.

·       Lead Program execution for key metrics like HGR/ 1:1:1/ Productivity for the Raw & Formed metals team by closely working with the CM and Business units.

·       Support Metals team with Inflation / deflation journey with analytics and gap closures to help drive productivity.

·       Support during AOP build ups to standardize key commodity frameworks that are sustainable and easy to update and use.

·       Support US and EMEA time zones

·       Ensure global policy compliance.

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s degree.

·       At least 5 years of work experience in strategic sourcing or supply chain function.

·       Prefer two or more years work experience in formed or direct metal sourcing, not a requirement.

·       Experience working in a matrixed organization
