·        Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Conduct diagnostic testing on malfunctioning systems to determine the root cause of failures (e.g., vibration analysis) and implement effective corrective actions.

·        Component Replacement: Repair or replace worn or defective components, including bearings, pumps, motors, and pipework, using hand and power tools and precision measuring instruments.

·        Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

·        Safety and Compliance: Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and regulations, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials like used oil and filters to prevent ground contamination.

·        Collaboration: Coordinate with production teams and other maintenance staff to schedule work, minimize downtime, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills

·        Education: A high school diploma or equivalent; a technical diploma or certification in mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related field is preferred. An apprenticeship is an advantage.

·        Experience: Proven experience as a maintenance fitter or similar role in an industrial or manufacturing environment, with hands-on experience in hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

·        Technical Skills:

o   Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematic drawings.

o   Skilled in the use of various hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.

o   Knowledge of mechanical fundamentals, including seals, bearings, couplings, and lubrication systems.
