Manager - Operation Theatre

Operational Management:

• Oversee the day-to-day activities of the operating theatre, including scheduling surgeries, managing surgical teams, and coordinating equipment maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with WHO guidance and local health and safety standards, maintaining an environment that is safe for both patients and staff.

Leadership and Team Management:

• Provide professional leadership to both medical and non-medical theatre staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and quality care.
• Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and performance, engaging in staff evaluations and training programs.

Quality and Compliance:

• Develop and implement policies that align with regulatory standards.
• Participate in quality improvement projects, ensuring that patient care processes are continuously assessed and refined.

Budgeting and Resource Management:

• Manage financial budgets for the department, including procurement of equipment and supplies.
• Implement resource management strategies to optimize operational efficiency and reduce costs.

Clinical Supervision and Risk Management:

• Provide clinical guidance and oversight, ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices.
• Lead in conducting mandatory surgical safety checks and managing risks associated with surgeries
