Operator – 3D Printing

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Setup:

Preparing the SLS and FDM machines for production, including loading materials, configuring settings, and ensuring proper calibration. 

• Operation:

Monitoring the printing process, adjusting parameters as needed, and ensuring optimal machine performance. 

• Material Handling:

Handling and preparing the powder materials used in the SLS process, ensuring proper storage and handling procedures. 

• Quality Control:

Inspecting printed parts for defects, verifying dimensions and tolerances

• Maintenance:

Performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting minor issues, and reporting any malfunctions to the supervisor and work with maintenance team to resolve it faster. 

• Safety Compliance:

Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures related to the operation of the SLS machine and handling of materials. 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical Skills:

Understanding of SLS printing technology, ability to operate and maintain the SLS machine.

• Attention to Detail:

Ability to meticulously follow instructions, identify defects, and maintain accurate records. 

• Problem-Solving Skills:

Ability to troubleshoot minor issues and identify potential problems with the machine or process. 

• Physical Stamina:

Ability to perform tasks that may require standing for extended periods and lifting or moving materials. 

• Communication Skills:

Ability to effectively communicate with team members and supervisors. 

• Safety Awareness:

Thorough understanding of safety protocols and procedures related to the operation of the SLS machine. 

• Post-processing:

Performing post-processing steps on printed parts, such as removing support structures or applying surface finishes.
