Job Description Summary:

The HRIS Analyst performs a variety of Human Resource Information System (HRIS) functions ranging from data integrity, system configuration to reporting, and data analytics. In this role, you will work with a team to manage all of Rocket’s Human Resource Systems, including but not limited to Workday. The HRIS Analyst works independently under general direction and will support the HR and Finance Business Partners, HR team members, and employees across all levels at Rocket. The HRIS Analyst has a keen attention to detail, loves solving problems, and leveraging best practices for systems and data while working to support legal and compliance requirements globally.

Job Overview:  

The HRIS Analyst performs a variety of Human Resource Information System (HRIS) functions ranging from data integrity, system configuration to reporting, and data analytics.   In this role, you will work with a team to manage all of Rocket’s Human Resource Systems, including but not limited to Workday.  The HRIS Analyst works independently under general direction and will support the HR and Finance Business Partners, HR team members, and employees across all levels at Rocket. The HRIS Analyst has a keen attention to detail, loves solving problems, and leveraging best practices for systems and data while working to support legal and compliance requirements globally. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensures the accuracy and integrity of all data entered into HR Systems through data audits. 

  • Maintains data in Workday system and ensures information is available promptly. 

  • Performs group data/bulk updates, exports, imports, data clean-ups, and researches/reports/ provides corrective action on any data discrepancies. 

  • Builds and evolves dashboards for reporting at all levels of the organization to support decision making. 

  • Delivers routine daily/weekly/monthly reporting and responds ad hoc data requests ranging from basic to complex. 

  • Conducts data analysis on HR information such as compensation, job classification, employment, employee relations, turnover/attrition, and other data as directed. 

  • Communicates systems changes that will impact the team to enable scalability during the transition. 

  • A key point of contact with all systems vendors and project manager for any system upgrades or changes. 

  • Supports the HR team in building connections for vendor file feeds and works with IT to integrate systems across the organization. 

  • Assists with data analysis for Mergers and Acquisitions throughout the due diligence process  

  • Manages the data for the Affirmative Action Plans and assists third party vendors on requests. 

  • Prepares reports, graphs, charts, and statistics in support of human resources business partners. 

  • Assists and supports others on challenging assignments and problems as directed. 

  • Acts as primary contact for assigned function with outside organizations or other departments; respond to technical, administrative questions and ensures necessary follow up. 

 

Required Qualifications:  

  • At least five years’ experience working with HR systems, reporting, dashboard creation, and working within a corporate HR department. 

  • Involvement supporting or running an HRIS upgrade or system migration 

  • Knowledge of principles, practices, and standards of human resource administration in the assigned area. 

  • Knowledge of database maintenance concepts 

  • Advanced experience with Excel and reporting tools 

  • Knowledge of human resource information systems (Workday preferred) 

  • Extreme attention to detail 

  • Excellent communication and analytical skills 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business systems, HR or other related field preferred 

  • Experience working in a complex global organization
