Production Engineer

⚡ WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS

We're scaling production of high-power Electric bulk cooking Vessels — complex electro-mechanical assemblies with Electrical & Electronics, IOT, SS304  vessels, and Gear tilting tilting mechanisms. We need a sharp Production & QC Engineer who can own the bench, drive assembly quality to zero-defect, and keep vendors honest. You will be one of the first hires on the production floor — which means high ownership, high visibility, and real career acceleration.

🔧 WHAT YOU'LL OWN — KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assembly & Production

•     Lead end-to-end assembly of eqOorja Electric bulk cooking Vessels (EQ-100 to EQ-500 range)

•     Execute Control panel assembly, wiring harness routing, and power electronics integration

•     Coordinate with Vendor for vessel fabrication

•     Implement and maintain assembly SOPs — every step documented, every bolt torqued right

•     Monitor production cycle times and drive continuous improvement for faster throughput

Testing & Quality Control

•     Conduct full electrical testing: insulation resistance, continuity checks, 3-phase power-up tests, and power output verification

•     Perform functional load testing on induction generators at rated kW levels (10kW–30kW)

•     Inspect weld quality on SS304 structural frames and vessel seams per IS 6913-1973 standards

•     Execute incoming inspection of all incoming components — reject non-conforming parts at source

•     Maintain detailed QC inspection records, non-conformance reports (NCR), and CAPA logs

•     Identify root causes for field failures and drive corrective action through to resolution

Vendor Coordination

•     Coordinate with SS304 fabricators, capsule-base clad suppliers, and PCB assembly vendors for on-time delivery

•     Share and follow up on technical drawings, tolerances, and finish specifications with external job shops

•     Audit vendor production processes for quality compliance — on-site visits when required

•     Manage incoming goods inspection and coordinate rejection/rework with vendors

•     Work with procurement to build a reliable local supplier base in Pune / Maharashtra

Process & Documentation

•     Create and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM), assembly instructions, and test checklists

•     Support new product introduction (NPI) — translate engineering drawings into production-ready builds

•     Maintain the production tracker, daily output reports, and defect rate dashboards

•     Flag design-for-manufacturability (DFM) issues early — you're our feedback loop from bench to engineering

✅ WHAT YOU MUST BRING

Non-Negotiable

•     3+ years of hands-on production / QC experience in electrical, electronics, or electro-mechanical manufacturing

•     Strong working knowledge of PCB/power electronics assembly, testing, and troubleshooting

•     Comfortable reading and interpreting electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and mechanical drawings

•     Hands-on experience with multimeters, clamp meters, oscilloscopes, and insulation testers

•     Familiarity with 3-phase power systems (415V AC), safety protocols, and earthing practices

•     Meticulous documentation habits — QC without paperwork is just inspection, not quality
