Project Manager

A Project Manager in the facade industry oversees all aspects of projects involving aluminium fabrication, glass, glazing, UPVC windows, and unitized panels, from initial planning and design coordination to final installation and handover. 

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning and Coordination: Develop detailed project schedules, work plans, and resource allocation strategies. Coordinate effectively with clients, architects, consultants, main contractors, and internal teams (design, fabrication, site) to ensure seamless execution.
• Technical Review and Quality Control: Review and interpret project specifications, architectural drawings, structural calculations, and shop drawings. Ensure proper material selection and installation methods for various systems like curtain walls, unitized panels, spider glazing, and UPVC windows, ensuring all work meets quality standards and international/local building codes.
• Site Management and Execution: Monitor day-to-day installation activities, ensuring materials, manpower, and machinery are available as per the timeline. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.
• Budget and Cost Control: Prepare budget estimates, track expenses, manage project costs, and handle variations or claims. Negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors to ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Stakeholder and Vendor Management: Act as the key liaison between all stakeholders, managing expectations and ensuring clear communication channels. Oversee the procurement of materials (aluminium profiles, glass, hardware, etc.) and manage supplier relationships.
• Risk Management and Problem Solving: Identify potential risks or issues that may arise during the project lifecycle and implement proactive mitigation plans. Address and resolve technical or site-related problems efficiently to avoid delays.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including QA/QC reports, safety logs, progress reports, and handover documents. Prepare regular status reports (MIS, daily/weekly progress) for clients and upper management.
