Position Summary:
The Revenue Associate at NIQ will be a key member of the Global Finance Operations team, working within the Global Billing function. This role is responsible for the accurate administration, assessment, and validation of sales contracts to support proper revenue recognition and the creation of compliant billing schedules in alignment with global and regional guidelines.
Partnering closely with Client Service teams, the Revenue Associate will ensure full adherence to US GAAP, statutory regulations, and internal policies throughout all billing and revenue processes, including period-end closing and detailed reconciliations.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, a solid understanding of revenue recognition principles, strong analytical capabilities, and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams while supporting NIQ’s financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Contract Administration: Manage the administration, evaluation, and validation of sales contracts to ensure accurate revenue recognition and the creation of appropriate billing schedules. Coordinate contract and order processing with Client Sales teams across the region.
• Compliance and Collaboration: Ensure that all billing and revenue activities comply with US GAAP, statutory regulations, and internal policies. Collaborate with Client Service teams and engage with the BASES Global Controlling team to support key deliverables such as customer invoicing, credit management, and Accounts Receivable oversight. Strong communication skills are essential for engaging effectively with stakeholders across functions and regions.
• Period Closing and Reconciliation: Oversee end-to-end period closing activities, including billing runs and revenue recognition. Perform detailed reconciliations of accruals and provisions to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial records with US GAAP, statutory rules, and Global COE processes.
• Operational Efficiency: Drive operational efficiency by identifying and recommending process improvements within billing and revenue operations. Partner with FP&A and Consolidation teams to streamline and align revenue-related activities.
• Financial Integrity: Support the safeguarding of NIQ’s financial integrity through rigorous oversight of billing and revenue activities. Ensure compliance with regional statutory requirements related to revenue accounting and perform controls to maintain strong financial governance.
• Technical Expertise: Demonstrate proven knowledge of SAP, including managing User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system migrations, and implementation activities.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications such as CPA or CFA are an advantage.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in finance or accounting, with a strong focus on billing, revenue recognition, and US GAAP compliance.
• Strong technical proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Deep understanding of revenue recognition principles and their practical application.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and regions.
• Strong analytical abilities and comfort working with complex financial data and contractual structures.
