Salesforce Analyst & Administrator | Data Interpretation, Validation Rules, Stakeholder Interaction
Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a Salesforce Business Analyst & Administrator to support our Salesforce environment through data management, configuration, and stakeholder engagement. The incumbent will play a vital role in managing day-to-day Salesforce operations, interpreting business data, and working directly with business stakeholders to facilitate system enhancements and efficient use of Salesforce. This position offers an opportunity to develop technical and business analysis skills in a dynamic, client-focused environment.
Software Requirements
Required:
Salesforce platform (latest or current version) with basic knowledge of objects, fields, relationships
Familiarity with Salesforce validation rules
Microsoft Excel and PDF file reading and interpretation
Basic understanding of Salesforce user management (users, profiles, roles, permission sets)
Preferred:
Salesforce Lightning experience
Experience with data import/export tools (Data Loader, Data Export service)
Basic knowledge of Salesforce automation tools like Workflow Rules or Process Builder
Overall Responsibilities
Support daily Salesforce administration activities, including user management, permission assignment, and security controls.
Understand and document business requirements to configure Salesforce accordingly.
Read and interpret data from Excel and PDF files to support data quality efforts and reporting.
Assist in creating and maintaining validation rules to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify issues, and explain system capabilities.
Collaborate with senior analysts and developers on system enhancements and troubleshooting.
Provide user support and training as needed to optimize Salesforce usage.
Technical Skills (By Category)
Programming Languages:
Required: Basic Salesforce formula language and understanding of workflows and validation rules
Preferred: Knowledge of Apex or Lightning Component development (not required)
Databases/Data Management:
Understanding of object and field relationships, data import/export, data quality management
Cloud Technologies:
Salesforce platform (mandatory)
Frameworks and Libraries:
Salesforce automation tools (Workflow, Process Builder, Flows)
Development Tools and Methodologies:
Salesforce Setup menu, Data Loader, Excel (for data management), agile support tools (Jira, ServiceNow)
Security Protocols:
Familiarity with user profiles, roles, permission sets, and org-wide defaults to manage data access
Experience Requirements
6 months to 1 year of experience supporting Salesforce administration or business analysis, preferably in a client-facing environment.
Hands-on experience in managing Salesforce objects, fields, relationships, validation rules, and user profiles.
Experience reading and interpreting data from Excel and PDF files.
Previous exposure to working closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and communicate system updates.
Day-to-Day Activities
Manage user accounts, profiles, roles, and permission sets to ensure proper data access controls.
Support the creation of validation rules to improve data quality.
Read and analyze data from Excel and PDF files to assist reporting and data validation efforts.
Engage with business stakeholders to understand system needs, clarify requirements, and communicate updates.
Support daily operational issues, troubleshoot bugs, and coordinate fixes with senior technical team members.
Collaborate with the team on system enhancements, testing, and documentation.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
Equivalent professional experience in Salesforce administration or analysis is acceptable.
Basic Salesforce certification or training (preferred).
Willingness to learn and develop Salesforce technical skills, including automation and data management.
